Short codes are easy ways to insert phrases and sentences that we as law enforcement use all the time. To activate short codes, type a colon (:) followed by the short code word and watch the word magically get turned into the phrase.
Think of snips as a block or "chunk" of a report that is commonly used. Such as Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), we use them all the time and they only very slightly each time. Instead of having to retype all of the same information with small variances, simply use a snip, enter a few pieces of information, and what the paragraphs write themselves!
To use snips, either select them from the quick menu on the right hand side of the screen, or use a slash code by typing a slash (/) and the snip you want to use.
